Sydney Grace x Temptalia Collection Restock: October 15th
Sydney Grace x Temptalia Collection will be restocked today, October 15th, 2021 at 9AM PT. All Light/Deep versions of the palettes along with the Dear Reader eyeshadow single will be restocked! This is a larger restock, so we’re hopeful that nothing will sell out quickly!
Remember, readers can use code TEMPTALIA15 for an additional 15% off individual palettes (making them $34 each) or the bundle of three (making it $85). You can mix and match Light/Deep versions as you please within the bundle!
Thank you for the support! I hope those who have already purchased have enjoyed their palette(s) so far! 🙂 I’d love to hear from you about your thoughts on any of the collection if you’ve had a chance to try it, any favorites, any least favorites, whether they’ve encouraged you to play with more color or if anything surprised you!
With the caveat that I’m still not wearing makeup often at all since I’m working fully remote, I have basically used nothing but these palettes since I purchased them during their initial launch! 🙂 I prefer shimmery jewel tones, and one or two and done looks, and these have been fantastic for that for me.
The biggest surprise for me is Mielke Way – I LOVE this color so much! It is so complex! I use it as a one and done, but it’s also an amazing brow highlight with Galactic Muse, the green shimmer in MW works so well with GM! I can honestly see myself panning it one day, and would love to see it as a single – I’d use it even more then!
Biggest disappointment has been Celestial Bloom – I love the shade, but have been unable to find a way of applying it without significant fallout each time, and the fallout is surprisingly hard to brush away without leaving huge purple smudges that are fairly hard to remove. I keep using it because it’s so pretty, but haven’t found a way of applying it that doesn’t leave me frustrated.
Also, interestingly enough, I have barely used the Radiant Reflection palette so far. I’ve used the blues, but that’s about it. I think the colors are a little more fall/winter for my coloring, so I’m going to try experimenting more with it in the next few months.
I’m so sorry you’re not enjoying Celestial Bloom! 🙁 I’m sure you’ve tried tons of methods, so I’ll just add one that may be less obvious – use a very small, dense brush damp and press on, maybe use a lighter hand when picking up!
Thank you for the feedback!
Thank you, Christine! And great tip, I will definitely try that. 🙂 I’m not always sure which are the best style of brushes to use for different formulas, so I really appreciate this! And just to underscore, I adore the palettes, and would highly recommend them!
Thank you again, Jen!
I konw it’s not for everyone, but have you tried fingers? I don’t own Temptalia’s palettes ye;, but as a general rule I like to apply metallics and shimmers with my finger to my lid first, then clean up any edges by patting with a flat synthetic at the edges. I don’t experience fallout during application using that method and that’s with shadows people normally give a bad rap to. *To me* it isn’t a hassle because using my hands and fingers is part of the fun of makeup application, but again I know not everyone sees it that way – and some people have crazy long nails that prevent it. My little stub nails never get in the way.
I have really enjoyed using the On the Horizons palette, as I wrote in the previous post. I have found your shimmers to be excellent – no fall out at all and so easy to blend. I typically don’t use the mattes though.
The only shade I wish was in there was a soft neutral brown, like a cinnamon shade and an olive green, as the pink shades are not ones that I would use.
I have found that this palette works well in conjunction with many other palettes or singles that I have in my stash – particularly SG’s Antique Coin (single), PMG’s Sublime Mini and even ND’s Glam.
Thank you, Genevieve! I’m thrilled you are enjoying On the Horizon 🙂
I got all 3 palettes when they first launched and they have been a staple for me. I did use a magnet to replace Borealis with Dear Reader, just because I do not use a ton of greens and Borealis was the chunkier of the two, and it’s been a great addition to Quintessence for me. Same with Celestial Bloom, I changed it out for a lighter transition shade as I had gotten the deep version (still happy about that choice) and found that the Nyx glitter primer has been a game changer for using the sparklier shades. I was also thrilled to see that Infinite Echoes is a dupe for Rowdy in the ABH Subculture palette. I’ve been trying to properly dupe that palette for 4 years! Even though I have the original, it’s just not the easiest to work with and SG is the best.
Anyway, they have just been a joy to use, truly. They’ve gotten me out of my comfort zone while still being workhorses for day-to-day looks. I’m so glad more people can get them in this restock and I’m always looking for your color combinations and looks, as well as YouTubers who are using them, to see what everyone comes up with. I’ve gotten a few new palettes since these, but they always feel like a distraction from what I really want to be using!
I’m glad you were able to replace Borealis with something you’d use more often!
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback, Rachel! 🙂
