Temptalia has collaborated with Sydney Grace to create three eyeshadow palettes featuring her dream color stories. Each palette will be available in a Deep version and a Light version; two matte shades from each palette have a Deep version and Light version designed to complement deeper and lighter skin tones. Stay tuned for in-depth breakdowns of the collaboration process and each individual palette!

FAQ
When does it launch?
The collection launches June 18th at 9AM PDT. This is not a pre-order. The palettes will be ready to ship.
Is it limited edition? Will it sellout?
It is permanent–as long as it sells well, they will continue to restock it. The number of palettes ordered–that’s packaging!–is more than the brand has had at launch than for any previous launch. I know every collaborator says as much, but I would be truly floored if the palettes sold out.
Will your discount apply?
Yes. Readers can use code TEMPTALIA15 for an additional 15% off individual palettes (making them $34 each) or the bundle of three (making it $85).
Can I mix and match palettes in the trio?
Yes, Sydney Grace confirmed that you can choose the Light version of one palette and Deep version of another for the trio.
Should I get Light or Deep?
For those with lighter skin tones and prefer something closer to standalone, the Light versions likely will be easier to use in that fashion. For those who already have a slew of transition and blending shades and are happy to pull them out alongside a palette, the Deep versions are slightly more unique.
Light versions were tested on dark skin to get feedback, even though they were developed for light skin tones. Here is that feedback:
- Quintessence: Parallax (Light) is too light for dark skin and will leave a white cast. Reaching Zenith (Light) may work on deep skin tones if one likes cooler tones; it is on the “bubble” so-to-speak.
- On the Horizon: October Odyssey (Light) works on dark skin tones (one of the tester’s favorites!). Infinite Echoes (Light) is cool-toned and can look a little gray/ashy.
- Radiant Reflection: Unstoppable Love (Light) will work on dark skin tones. Dearest Constant (Light) may work as a blending shade on dark skin.
Will shades in the palette be available as singles?
There are no plans to offer them as singles. I imagine if the launch is successful, it is something I could certainly inquire about. The only single is Dear Reader, which is not available in the palettes.
Where do I purchase your palettes?
Sydney Grace is the sole distributor.
What will it cost to ship?
For US addresses, they ship flat rate at $4.
For non-US addresses, shipping will range from $27 to $32 for up to three palettes; the total weight of three palettes is under the next pricing tier but this is basically level one for shipping packages internationally. All packages ship USPS; international customers can request an alternative carrier but the cost will likely be higher as a result. Sydney Grace ships to most countries (excluding China due to animal testing requirements and any COVID-19 restricted countries). The cost of shipping increases as more products are added, and you can estimate the cost of shipping prior to checking out (for those looking to make a larger order).
Will you have swatches on other skintones?
Yes, palettes are being sent to official swatchers for the launch today or tomorrow (June 7th/8th). As the collaborator, I literally received mine first (shipped Thursday, June 3rd!), so I recruited my husband (who is lighter and pinker) and my sister (who is darker and very olive) while I was swatching on me, but we will have swatches on the following skin tones at launch:
- Very light (Fenty 110) (my husband)
- Light (Fenty 180) (me)
- Medium (Fenty 230) (coming soon, will be by Sabrina @ The Beauty Look Book)
- Medium-Dark (Fenty 345) (my sister)
- Dark (Fenty 430) (coming soon, will be by Day @ Legally Black Beauty, who also tested shades for suitability on deeper skin tones during development!)

Can’t wait! I think you’ve listed on the horizon light twice in this article. Trying to decide weather to buy the dark or light version of quintessence. I’m blonde with brown/hazel eyes with NC15 in winter and NW20 in the summer.

This is so exciting and so entirely deserved by you, Christine. As you probably know, I need more eyeshadow like I need a flat tire or the proverbial hole in the head. Once upon a time I believed my palettes needed to be complete for some reason (I blame lazy marketing that wanted to cop out and have a pinky brown “transition” shade in every palette to limit the thought required for releases), but now? I’m as fair as they come and I’m all over those deep palettes. Well done.

Aww!! We discussed a pre-order, but the issue is either they have already put in an order for packaging (which is what takes the longest… like 1-3 months) or then the wait time is reallyyyy long! They tried to order more packaging than possible to sell out so that if it does sell through, they can start filling more palettes while ordering another round of empty packaging!

I couldn’t pick a favorite, so I will be ordering all three. I am excited to add to my neutral-cool eyeshadow collection, as these color stories have been lacking in palettes. I can, and often do, wear warm tones very successfully, but, I do like a lot of variety of colors to choose from in my clothing wardrobe AND my make-up. I can’t wait to try these out!

BAMMM! The pigmentation is WOW! And so you as a one who really likes the PMG Decadence palette. I’m immediately checking for dupes to help me select. Lovely! And very wise to have made a deep and light version so as to cut out the discord. Personally, I think anyone can use them all and it’s more of a preference thing, but glad you did so, because surprisingly I’m leaning “light” this time since I have a choice.

Sometimes that just is the way it is shipping wise. I had two sent to my daughter (light for me and dark for her, she’s really likes it!)
I am genuinely excited for these!! So many good greens. And looking at these I find myself easily picking out looks and pairings, highlights, transitions, corners, lids. I would think it’s in my mind, but I know that’s important to you.
Finally, I love how you keep every shade of woman in mind and don’t silence the voices of people whose skin tones have been ignored commercially for far too long. It is so refreshing!

Just received all 3 palettes (I am not sure if they are the light or dark versions) as an amazing gift from my sister!
I had never even heard of any of y’all (not saying that to be dismissive, but because I nearly live under a rock of 4 kids and work). So this was an AMAZING introduction to all involved! I have to say, I have significant amount of shadows, as I once played with my make up a lot. I have not been so impressed with a palette in years! I was totally surprised at the gift, and I immediately swatched them, poolside, to see what I was working with. Holy cow! I am in love and so pleased with the pigment! I have a fair amount of “fun” colors, but most of them are frustrating to work with, because the quality isn’t up to par.

Wearing it now! Desert Spoon – in and above crease, Midnight Courage on outer V and blended up, Flying High – middle of lid, Earthbound – inner V, Heart Dog – inner corner highlight. I love them all but am particularly impressed with the shade of Desert Spoon and the pigmentation (I am Fenty 385). I used brushes rather than my finger for the shimmers and that worked very well.
